As a UX Research Intern, you will work closely with experienced researchers to gain hands-on experience in designing, conducting, and analyzing user research studies to improve Yahoo's products and services.
As a User Experience Research Intern, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Conducting user research studies, including usability testing, surveys, and interviews
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including designers, engineers, and product managers, to identify research needs and prioritize research projects
- Analyzing research data and presenting insights to stakeholders
- Creating research reports and documentation to share findings and recommendations
- Contributing to the development and improvement of Yahoo's user research process and methodologies
To be considered for the internship, you must meet the following qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or a related field
- Have a strong academic record
- Passionate about user research and improving user experiences
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Familiarity with research methods and tools, such as usability testing, surveys, and interviews
- Strong communication skills and ability to present research findings to stakeholders
While prior experience in UX research is not required, relevant work experience or internships will be a plus.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Suite
- Familiarity with research tools such as Qualtrics, UserTesting, or Optimal Workshop
